At Flying Fish Tea Co, we are passionate about protecting our planet and reducing our environmental footprint. Unfortunately, many tea plantations have a direct impact on habitats and the environment, and the oil-based plastics used to seal most tea bags today make them difficult to recycle, leading to them ending up in landfills.

We are committed to using fully recyclable packaging and sourcing our tea from sustainable sources. Unlike some companies who make false claims of being fully recyclable but use tin foil wrapping and plastic tea bags, we are proud to say that we are:

• 100% from renewable sources
• 100% recyclable 

Our tea temples, made from PLA mesh consisting of 100% natural fibres, are biodegradable and can be placed in food recycling or compost bins. The eco-crimp bags for our tea are made from NatureFlex, a compostable film made from natural, renewable resources like wood pulp, and are biodegradable and compostable. Our outer cartons are made using vegetable-based inks and are FSC recyclable, meaning they are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and can be recycled with other normal household recyclables.
